Every event is scored by team — even a solo event is just teams of one. How players end up on a team is set by the event's formation mode, and DropTracker supports everything from open sign-up to challenging a rival clan.
Choose one when you create the event (changeable while it's a draft):

| Self sign-up — auto-assigned | Players sign up and are placed on the smallest team automatically. |
| Sign-up pool — sort later | Players sign up into a pool with no team; you sort them before it starts. |
| Admin assign | No self sign-up; admins place every player. |
From the Teams section you can:
Moving a player to a different team resets their credit on the new team — their join time, which is what progress is measured from, starts over.
In sign-up pool mode, players opt in without a team and you sort them when you're ready, from the Sign-ups section:
Want to compete against another clan? Create the event in Clan vs clan mode and invite an opponent clan. Once they accept:
Everything else — tasks, board, scoring — works exactly as in a standard event.
