Playing in an event

Events are competitions your clan runs on The DropTracker: bingo, task races, board games and more. You play the game as normal and your progress is tracked for you.

Before you join

Sign in with Discord and claim your OSRS account. That is how an event knows which character is you.
Turn on Use API Connections in the RuneLite plugin settings. Without it, nothing you do will count.

Joining

Find the event on the events page or your clan's page and press Join. What happens next is up to the organiser:

Setup	What you do
Pick your team	Choose a team. Some events ask for a join code from your clan.
Auto-assigned	Nothing. You go on the smallest team.
Sign-up pool	Sign up now. An admin sorts everyone into teams before the start.
Admin-assigned	Ask an admin to add you.

Your clan may also post a Sign up button in Discord, which does the same thing.

What counts

Most tasks complete by themselves the moment the plugin tracks the right drop, kill, personal best, level or achievement. Some tasks wait for an admin to check them first, and a few (like EHP, EHB or custom goals) are always awarded by hand.

Only progress made after you join a team counts. If an admin moves you to another team, your credit starts again from zero there.

The event page updates live: the board or task list, team standings, and a feed of completions as they land.

On Discord

You can follow an event without leaving Discord. In a server with the DropTracker bot, open the app launcher (the rocket by the message box, or the Activities shelf in a voice channel) and pick DropTracker. It opens your server's live event, where you can watch the board, tap any task for details, check standings and join a team. It works on desktop, web and mobile.

If something isn't counting

Nothing counts at all. Check Use API Connections is on, and that the right kind of submission (drops, collection log, and so on) is enabled in the plugin.
A completion says pending. That task needs an admin to confirm it. It counts once they do.
You're on the wrong team. Ask an admin to move you. Remember this resets your credit on the new team.
